The awards to be presented this year represent a mix of industry excellence and personal achievement categories.

Industry Categories:

Today’s corporate environment is demanding and challenging. In the face of increasing pressure to drive revenues, organizations are progressively leveraging technology to sustain business. The four (4) industry award categories have been carefully chosen to reflect critical issues facing the technology industry today. A total of three awards will be presented in each category – Diamond, Platinum and Gold.

Cloud computing enables a real and achievable alternative to traditional long term approaches to computing capacity consumption and investment. Enterprises are rapidly turning to cloud delivery service models to reduce costs, increase flexibility and improve their time-to-market. This award will acknowledge the best cloud infrastructure strategy implemented to achieve a scalable, flexible and reliable IT platform.

Most Innovative Use of Technology

Innovation in technology is no longer about the newest technology, but applying inspiration and innovation to technology to change the way a company does business or to create new services. This award will recognize the most innovative use of storage solution in the region that makes a difference to the company’s business.

Best Cost-Efficient IT Strategy

The business environment is constantly changing and managing cost is a perennial challenge. The economic turmoil of 2009 has demonstrated the need to consolidate IT assets to drive a more cost-effective strategy. This award will recognize the enterprise that has leveraged technology smartly to save dollars and maximizing efficiency.

Best Virtualization Strategy

Necessity being the mother of invention, the increasing costs and challenges of doing business are driving the adoption of virtualization technologies. This award recognizes enterprises which have invested in developing virtualization solutions – at storage or server level – that are second to none in Asia Pacific.
 
     
 

Personal Achievement:

The best measure of an organization’s success is the value it creates for its customers and businesses. In the world of technology-enabled transformation and innovation, the CIO has a critical role to play in maximizing that value.

  
   
 

CIO of the year (By country):

This award recognises the ground breaking-work of visionary CIO’s in each of the participating countries. CIOs who have demonstrated exemplary thought leadership, a thorough understanding of the business and technology environment and effective leadership skills will be rewarded with this prestigious award.

CIO of CIOs (Region):

This award will reward the best CIO in the Asia Pacific region from the winning CIOs in each country.
